ABOUT ME

My name is Alyssa, and I’m a professional dog trainer based in Livingston, offering services across the central belt of Scotland. I provide both in-home and public training sessions, each tailored to suit the individual needs of the dog and their owner.

With over seven years of experience in the dog industry - including roles in training, daycare, walking, and boarding kennels - I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of breeds and behavioural challenges. My formal education in animal care, along with ongoing professional development through seminars and webinars, has given me a solid foundation in both practical handling and theory. I continue to expand my knowledge across different areas of dog training, from general obedience to more advanced, sport-focused work.

I currently own and train two working Dobermans for the protection sport PSA, which reflects my passion for structured, purpose-driven training.

Most recently, I’ve launched a new Walk & Train service, which has quickly gained momentum. This service combines structured walking with targeted training, offering a practical and effective solution for dogs who benefit from consistent guidance during their daily routine. It’s also a convenient option for owners who may not have the time to dedicate to regular training themselves, but still want to ensure their dog is progressing and building good habits.

PERSONALISED TRAINING PLANS

Recognizing the uniqueness of each dog, I provide personalised training plans designed to cater to the individual needs of both the dog and its owner. I collaborate closely with you to create a customised training plan that suits your preferences and effectively addresses the specific requirements of your dog.

BEHAVIOURAL ISSUES

My expertise lies in tackling behavioral challenges, including dog reactivity, aggression, and fear. Through dedicated work with dogs, I aim to help them overcome their fears, fostering confidence and transforming them into well-behaved and content pets.
